It was a very eventful night for all news outlets last night as news broke of the killing of Osama bin Laden, only a few months before the 10th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on The World Trade Center in New York. We’re very thankful that American troops were able to ultimately bring him to justice after such a long commitment of keeping the Western world safe from terrorism.
Here at the Woodward Spine we’d like to thank all of those soldiers from metro Detroit, the state of Michigan and all over our great country who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces. Your sacrifices for our country have been admirable and we truly appreciate your courageous efforts.
Let’s take a look at how the newspapers broke the news this morning with a collection of top-fold headlines being read all over the country:

Detroit Free Press

The Detroit News

USA Today

The Wall Street Journal

The New York Times

About The Woodward Spine
The Woodward Spine was the brainchild of Michael Fossano and Jeffrey Buck, two Royal Oak, Mich. natives who met nearly 10 years ago while attending the now-defunct George A. Dondero High School. It seemed fitting for the two Wayne State University alums to craft an outlet to help continually refine their writing skills, while also serving as a trusted source of information for the metro Detroit community.
The Woodward Spine aims to inform its readers about relevant news and events through creative and informative posts not only by Mike and Jeff, but other upstanding citizens as well who are driven and proficient in these core areas: news, opinion, entertainment, history, sports and development. The Woodward Spine serves the tri-county metro Detroit area, however concentrating mainly on the communities that lie along the Woodward corridor.
