You may have seen an abundance of pink (no not those hideous Victoria’s Secret sweatpants with the word stretched across the butt) gear this month in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which helps raise awareness and education on the disease that kills more than 40,000 women and approximately 450 men each year according to nationalbreastcancer.org.
Hundreds of organizations, designers and brands, are showing their support by creating special items in which proceeds will go to breast cancer research. Many celebrities and athletes are also speaking out and supporting the cause as you may have seen the pink gear donned by players in the NFL this month, especially your 5-0 Detroit Lions!
