Hear That “Old Time Rock ‘n’ Roll” at the Detroit Zoo

ROYAL OAK, Mich. – Lookin’ Back – a Bob Seger tribute band – will “take those old records off the shelf” and perform them tomorrow Saturday, June 29, 2013, at the Detroit Zoo. The concert is free with Zoo admission and will take place in the Main Picnic Grove from 12:30 to 2 p.m.

Lookin’ Back is comprised of six Detroit-area musicians looking to keep the music of Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band alive by performing it on Metro Detroit and regional stages. Their concerts pay homage to the rock ‘n’ roll superstar whose catalog of hits spans nearly five decades.

“Lookin’ Back is looking forward to rocking the Detroit Zoo and we hope that the love of Seger’s music attracts a large audience,” said Todd Stoney, the band’s leader and drummer.

Detroit Zoo visitors are welcome to bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnic baskets for the concert. Food, snacks and beverages are available for purchase from Zoo concessions.

About The Woodward Spine

The Woodward Spine was the brainchild of Michael Fossano and Jeffrey Buck, two Royal Oak, Mich. natives who met nearly 10 years ago while attending the now-defunct George A. Dondero High School. It seemed fitting for the two Wayne State University alums to craft an outlet to help continually refine their writing skills, while also serving as a trusted source of information for the metro Detroit community. The Woodward Spine aims to inform its readers about relevant news and events through creative and informative posts not only by Mike and Jeff, but other upstanding citizens as well who are driven and proficient in these core areas: news, opinion, entertainment, history, sports and development. The Woodward Spine serves the tri-county metro Detroit area, however concentrating mainly on the communities that lie along the Woodward corridor.
