Shorpy Saturday – Cadillac Square: 1902

Cadillac Square continues to transform even in 2013, with the recent announcement of the 16-story office building by Schostak Bros. & Co. The building would be the largest undertaking since the renovation of the beloved Campus Martius Park and revamp of Cadillac Square Park.

Detroit circa 1902. “Cadillac Square and Wayne County building.” The rigging is for one of the “moonlight tower” arc lamps that provided nighttime illumination, an example of which can be seen behind the Rajah Coffee sign.
